The Battle of the Purple Boxes:

I went into my Fair this morning and counted up my Purple Box soldiers I have out trying to defeat any changing of the guard when iOS 11 comes out. I have 46 boxes standing proud and steadfast resenting any intruding factors. Wandered over to Cat's Fair and found 10 more hearty souls watching guard, also.

We need to remember those in Florida in the next few days as category 5 Hurricane Irma approaches. Lil' P (Dawn) is down in Florida, so needs special Snoopy prayers. Ern is in the Panhandle so as long as the storm stays east of Tallahhassee, she should be fine ... But prayers for her would also be welcomed.

Scott is cleaning up from Hurricane Harvey in the west Houston area and is ahead of the game with insurance adjuster and contractor in tow.

Thanks for the update on Scott Ginger. I'm always hoping it's going OK for him. Added our Florida friends to my prayers. These endless hurricanes are doing so much damage. I really hope they stop forming very soon!

Hey gang

I have been working for days getting my house back together. 50% of my downstairs flooded but just slightly. Things to replace are flooring, baseboards, Sheetrock, and some bathroom cabinets. I've powerwashed all outside surfaces over the last two days. I'm now an expert powerwasher. My insurance adjuster signed off on our house this morning so once all paperwork is finished, our contractor can start the rebuild. Should be one solid week for flooring, Sheetrock and baseboards. The cabinets will take longer.

In other news, I bought a used iPhone 5c today. I'll use it to keep SSF going. I have SSF on my phone and Candy Town on my IPad. I think I have to restore an iCloud backup from my phone to get SSF on it to continue the game I have. I have Candy Town on my IPad. I don't think there is a way to get it on this new device at the max level. Anyone know of a way to do that?

I am so glad to hear from you Scott! I'm sure it's a lot of work but I'm happy that you still have your house and your family is all OK. And if I ever need to use a power washer I'll ask you for tips! Actually if we ever used one on our house we'd lose all our old wood shingles (we don't have siding, much to my dismay).

What color is your 5c? I intend to use my yellow one for another year or so unless it dies sooner. It works fine and I really just talk and text on it. I'm always a late adopter for updates so I don't think I'll miss the new iOS for awhile. I can't imagine how you guys can play SSF on a phone! I need my full size iPad.

Ah Piggy maybe you could use one of your older ones just for SSF, and whatever one you're using now for everything else? That way you can update to iOS 11 on your current one and still have SSF. That's what I'm going to do, keep SSF on my iPad 2 and update my Pro. My phone won't be able to update from now on, but I seriously doubt I could ever play SSF on a phone like so many of you do! ???? ????????
