And there is one sweet pie I make and love… I suppose it is technically a pie, as it’s encased in filo pastry…I do love a home-baked Baklava. I use walnuts, almonds, sugar, cinnamon and honey. Yum yum yum!

Actually, I love stuff in filo…I make a lot of vegan dishes with it for my daughter - just bung in her veg of choice (last one I made was briefly-cooked tender stem broccoli, oyster mushrooms, spring onions, baby courgettes, celery, red pepper, seasoning- all in thin strips and smooshed around in a little vegan cream cheese).
Voilà….vegan filo pie!

Wow, a lot of you have a very sweet tooth! My favourite is actually savoury, and makes for a great lunch because it’s just as good cold. Brie, avocado, walnut and bacon filo pie - haven’t made it for a while, you’ve just reminded me! …(goes off to the kitchen humming a happy tune…)
