? Christmas is coming, and with it, the Smurfy Christmas and Holiday Songs Custom Lyrics Contest, Part 2! ?

A few years ago we had a very fun contest where everyone wrote Smurfy lyrics to their favorite holiday and Christmas songs, so this year, let’s do it again!

To spread the holiday joy, think Smurfy holiday thoughts, grab your pen, and start creating wonderful, Smurfastic lyrics to your favorite holiday and Christmas songs! Then post them here for a chance to be one of the three forum members to win a yummy Smurfberry prize!

• Enter as many times as you like, but each community member can only be chosen as a winner once, and may only receive one prize.
• Please make each song submission a separate entry.
• Submit your entries in this topic only. Entries submitted elsewhere will not be counted.
• ONLY entries submitted into this topic will be counted.
• Please post your entry in English- the forum does not have a translation function.
• Please post new, original lyrics; do not repost entries from the previous lyric-writing contest. You can use the same songs, but the lyrics must be your new, original creations.
• No entries via private message, email, Facebook or Facebook message will be eligible.
• Submissions must be received by Sunday, January 8th at 12:00 MIDNIGHT UTC.
• To enter the competition you’ll need to register to these forums if you don’t already have an account.
• Duplicate accounts are a violation of Community Rules and Guidelines.

? Prizes and Winners

• Three winners will be chosen based on the smurfiness of their submissions.
• An individual community member can only win once and receive one prize despite multiple entries.
• The 1st Place winner will receive 300 Smurfberries.
• The 2nd Place winner will receive 200 Smurferries.
• The 3rd Place winner will receive 100 Smurfberries.

Here is my entry, hopefully I’m doing this right. The song is “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley!

I'll have a joyfully blue Christmas with my smurfs

Decorations of lights on a red mushroom top
Wouldn’t be the same, if my smurfs were not here with me

Writing song lyrics are not all that hard…what we’re doing is called filking. THere are plenty of sites out there where you can find printouts of the song lyrics, or cut and paste from them (ust watch for hidden links in the words). Then replace words in those lyrics for smurfy ones….it goes better if you go syllable for syllable but whatever.
