its actually making me nervous. Ever since the opening moments of SV, I've been protecting & hiding my smurfs from Gargamel. Now he's coming?!? Eeek. I think I need to build my great wall even bigger!!!!

(...well I would if I could play at all. My iPad has died, and I can't play SV right now. But I'm hoping for a miracle. Like a visit from the magical iPad fairy?!? *sigh*. I would have to miss the biggest update ever, wouldn't I...?!?).

If they are teasing us with Gargamel, and it isn't Gargamel and his castle, there will be a lot of grumpy players! And if it is Gargamel and his castle and it is for big money, gazillions of loyal fans will be outraged! Therefore, I so, so hope for it be be this ultimate of villains, and offered in such a way that EVERYONE can have him and his castle in their game!!!

It just seems so strange, and a bit too good to be true! The addition of Gargamel was the number one request five years ago when we were all on the old forum, and it remains the number one request today on this forum. Why has Beeline only mentioned the addition of Gargamel so casually?

To say it will be a historic moment for the game is downplaying the major significance of this event! You would think the entire update would revolve around it, maybe even multiple updates, with numerous teasers featuring him, before he arrives in our villages!

The first two teasers for this new update are nice, but why would Beeline have Blossom Smurf and a tractor, upstage one of the most important Peyo Characters of all time?!


I'll be super excited about this one if it happens, but boy did Beelines marketing team drop the ball on building up the hype for this once in a lifetime event!

My philosophy on this one is going to be - "trust, but verify". I will not get too excited until we have concrete proof. If Beeline doesn't make the addition of Gargamel the smurfiest, most awesome, smurfalicious, smurftastic addition to the village ever, we will all be so let down we will all turn blue. I await his arrival cautiously. OH, PLEASE, Beeline, don't tease us and then let us down.

One option is that he'll be like Mother Nature...come once you build the wonder of his castle.

In the cynic's view, he'll be a $99.99 VIP EO (either him or his castle, maybe $49 each for him and his castle)

We'll see. They'll do what they do. I try to keep my expectations low. It minimizes disappointment.

I guess Gargamel is a "big surprise" and not a "massive reward". I'd love if he came with a wonder, but as many others said: He'll probably be a super expensive EO.
People have been asking for him for so long already and as you could see with the recent villain + castle additions, people are willing to spend a lot of money. So Beeline could try to cash in with this sought after character. Or they'll follow the voices of the forum asking for the main characters to be free and available to everyone. Or maybe he'll be a $9.99 EO - that way he still would cost money but a lot of people would buy him. Not all, but many more than if he cost $50 or $100. Or a fourth option that we haven't really had yet: He is available for an extraordinary amount of smurfberries. Or his castle. Or both. Or maybe you build the castle as a wonder and then pay 100 or 200 smurfberries to buy Gargamel.

We'll see in a week or two, but I don't really have hopes for him being free or for smurfberries.
