There are a lot of "share your ____" threads but no one seems interested to open a "share your detective smurf area. Well here it is and I'll get started by showing my detective smurf area... (This can also serve as a "how you hide your detective smurf's hut" thread)

Ha ha, Smurfy Bear - a how to hide detective topic ???? I allready noticed in your village, that you are good at that job.
First I hid him behind the wistrias next to Fireman and Postman. But then I changed my mind. I actually like some parts of the design. The door and the blinders. I really dislike the magnifying glass and the question mark - and I am not exactly thrilled about the color either. But I moved him so only the magnifying glass and the question mark is hidden - by a lovely oak.

He does fit in with the color of the oak tree. I like this as well as hiding him behind the wisteria.

I might be the only person on the forum who likes Detective Smurf. I put him right out in the open. I've only just got him and I only played his game once and got the police pole. I kept him close to the Naughties just so he can keep an eye on them.

Just for the record I like Detective Smurf fine, it's his eyesore of a hut I'm not crazy about. I also do not like how they incorporated Thief Smurf into the game through Detective Smurf making him a criminal, but I don't dislike Detective. Detective's mini-game does give out some really good prizes!

I can totally see where you are coming from, although I have been reading some of the original Peyo stuff and it is interesting how his Smurfs were sometimes not as nice as the ones in the cartoon. Still, We can always just say that Thief Smurf is only pretending to steal things to make Detective feel useful in the village.

This is the best Detective Smurf's hut has looked! Thanks for posting! This give us some good ideas how to restore the charm to our villages after the updates inclusion of the hut eyesore.



Hopefully this is the last ugly hut we get in a while. How much space is behind that tree? Can it store two ugly huts? Thief Smurfs hut is better, but the mask pattern on top of it is pretty goofy too! I would like to forget about both of the new huts that came with this update.

Actually, there is more room back there for other goodies, but not big enough for another hut! Since I refuse to buy Thief's hut (AKA "UnSmurfy Hut") at least I don't have to try to hide it!

[Purple, I won a police car from Detective, but since I don't want police in my village, I made a temporary special parking area for it- hopefully you can tell what I was trying to do there when you visit my village!]

I made a small spot for Detective in the corner of my village. His mini-game was generous on the police items so I have more than I would have got if I had to buy them myself. Detective seems to really like to give out the blue flashing lights!

It took me a long time to give Detective his own area. Before yesterday his spot in my village was a big mess with absolutely no organization.

This is super, Pach! I'm a long way from being able to do individual areas, but I love this one. The Detective Game and the Thief Game are just about my favorite games in SV. However; I have enough clothes racks that I'm having to hide them behind oak trees now. I can't seem to sell them back for cash.

Hi Ginger, you can't sell the clothes racks but you can store them in your storage hut. The clothes racks do not give regular xp's so disposing/storing some of them will save you some valuable space.

Thanks bear ... Looked it up in structures, and I don't have a storage hut yet. I have condos to store huts in, and the relax center to store smurfs in, but no storage hut yet. I'll put that on my "to do" list, after I get a tunnel for climbing for my train.

Thanks, Ginger! I love organizing all the special smurfs into their own areas if they have special themed decorations like Detective does. The two cop cars came from Detective's game. I had a ton of clothing racks too but deleted most of them while making his area.
