Hey Cat,

I went over to the Smurf's Village Chit Chat in the post area where they were discussing emoticons.

Spelling Bee was checking them out through the Smiley Face click here and those worked.


There are 11 of them, but she only did 4 (like I just did). There is probably the same limit of 4 pics to this, just like before, and
I guess emoticons are considered pics.

All the posters trying their emoji's from their phones and ipads were getting ??????, so Spelling Bee was going to ask about it.

Thanks to Ginger I found the new forum:-)
I'm not playing SSF or SV regularly anymore but still from time to time.
And I am very happy that Ginger reminded me of 12 days of xmas!
I only have 8 boxes right now, but hopefully LD will give me some more.
On the old forum Ginger posted the picture of Julius for me. 2 and 1/2 years ago we had a wonderful virtual babyshower there!
Well, things have changed since then. But it still feels like a wonder to have this "big boy".
...AND he already likes Snoopy and the gang!

It is wonderful to read familiar names in the forum!

I had tried SV when it first came out. Perhaps I'll give it another go. Last night's scare with SSF was quite upsetting (I'm like a little kid with Snoopy/Peanuts stuff) but it really was/IS the best game I have.

So glad we were able to make the connection, Biddy. We will be here for the duration it looks like.......whatever that may be. As the
devices keep coming out bigger and better ( or in some cases smaller and better) and the software keeps upgrading .... little by little we
will probably lose our games. But, I'm hoping that's a long, long way off. I'm addicted and don't want to give up easily (lol).

Hey, I hope you guys don't mind, but I have a SV question that I can't find the answer to by myself. I'm at fairly low level (29) and on the island, Papa Smurf wants me to harvest "10 palm crops". What the HECK does he mean by that? Am I supposed to plant a palm tree?

There should be some palm trees already on your island. If you touch one of them, you can plant a palm crop. I believe if you purchase Nat Smurf's hut, that unlocks all palm crops. You can also add palm trees buy spending smurfberries.

I should mention also that the more land you unlock on the island, you will get some free palm trees. (Unless this changed over the years) I know they are pricey if you purchase them in the menu

Yes, more palm trees come with the expansions.

Right now the timers aren't working until they get the fix-it update out. They have found the problem, but the update has to come out. So, if you tap on 10 palm trees to get 10 palm crops, it might take awhile before they are ready to harvest. As long as you stay on the island, the timers will work during this glitch, but once you leave the island the timers stop (except in the Main Village).

Oh, sorry, forgot to let everyone know that, alas, I won't be participating in the 12 days game. I have no PMB. I also don't have much money to buy gold boxes with, I'll need to build up more of a reserve for that. I did purchase a couple to see if I could get a PMB, but got two wavy men instead--rats! (So tired of those guys.)

Don't worry Fan ...... you can just enjoy following along because it will all be happening right here in this thread. If you do happen to get a box, let me know and I'll put your name on the list.......but with 1 box you will not be allowed to open it until 12/24. If you should get 2 boxes, you can open one on 12/23 and one on 12/24. Those that have 12 or more boxes get to start opening boxes on 12/13. Between 12/1 and 12/13 they are monitored to make sure they didn't have a butterfinger episode or lose their willpower. Just stay with us and enjoy watching us make a huge, walloping list of Christmas Gifts for SSF.

We've also had Ruthie and SnoopyFan check in, but they aren't playing "Twelve Days of Christmas". I sent 4 sets of instrument xp's to Karen and Snoopy Mom so they will check the
Forum and read the latest from spelling Bee. I don't have them in my email or my Facebook, so it's the only way I know to poke them.

And I see you already have the answer about the Anniversary Gift ... Featured Section, blocked out for now, and available complimentary as of the 11th in honor of 6th anniversary SV.

One thing I would tell you from personal experience is that last year I had 60 PMBs, so I opened 5 per day. Opening several PMBs at a time seemed to yield an awful lot of duplication. IOW, I'd get two of the same thing at once. It probably happened to me 6 or 7 of of the 12 days. That is why I stopped saving for this year at 60 and have been opening the rest of my PMBs during the months since. (Which is also how I got my Little White Tree. I will be very sad once the final curtain falls on SSF and I cannot tap on that and watch it shower snow anymore!)

Pam is having trouble getting over here. She has contacted me through messaging at Facebook. She keeps getting a message about a problem with url. She is trying to make the transition on her iPad, and I did mine on my computer......so I've told her to PM Spelling Bee and see if she can get some help.

Ern posted at the other site that she is headed this way, but I don't see her posted here since the transition. But haven't heard of a problem from her yet through PM, Facebook, or email ... so maybe she is still trying. She's had a rough week after her surgery and ongoing Lupus problems.

And Mom should be checking in pretty soon. Sent her the same bombardment last night that I sent Karen, and that worked with Karen (lol).

That's really weird Ginger. I have one other player who is having a similar issue. They are unable to sign in over here on the new forum using a mobile device, but can do it just fine on their computer. I'm trying to find out what could be causing it. Do me a favor if you can. Ask what iPad Pam is using and which version of iOS she has installed.

Snoopy's Street Fair was a game that was released by Beeline many years ago. Overtime, the costs to continue developing and updating the game became too high. Updates stopped for the English Version and it remained on hold for quite a long time. Eventually, the license for Snoopy ended and the game was removed from the App Store. During it's prime, it was a very popular game and is still loved and played by a loyal number of it's players.

Sadly, the US/European version apparently ceased to be profitable over time, presumably due to overall decline in net active play/sales, so Beeline could no longer justify updating. Its been quite some time now...over 2 years? (My middle-aged memory may be off. Others are more than welcome to chime in and correct me!)

I do not know if the Japanese version has continued to receive updates, but back at the time, that version was still sustaining economically.
