Thanks a lot, Cat. I'm bucking for a raise!

  • Question about those PMBs.... Okay, I've only ever done 2 things with these boxes: Opened them right away, or... when they first appear, move them to the bottom of my screen to play the 12 days. (Prior to that, I never moved them at all.)

So I see the pictures posted of everyone's fairs and the boxes are artfully arranged, or sitting on decks, etc. How do you move them around without accidentally opening them? Is it the same for any fair object where you just press on it and hold down until you can move it? But wouldn't that open the box?

    Comment

    • I should add that when I moved them -- the PMBs -- to the bottom of the screen, it was right after they first appeared, so there was no little star above them-- in other words, I could move them around at that point without them opening up.

Fan ... they are very delicate. If I were you and only had 2 to play with, I would just leave them where they are and decorate around them. Then on the 23rd you can tap on one and open it, and on the 24th you can open the other one.

The way I learned to move my boxes was not to touch the top of the box or the star above the box. I put my finger on the bottom of the box and drag it to where I want to drop it. Or, I put my finger at the bottom of the box and select the storage option. Then I can bring it out later in another spot and drop it there.

Somebody else may have another method..........but that's how I do it!

Mine are staying! I got a wavy guy, so idk if I'll have more.

    • A few days ago I decided to a revisit to the forum, discovered it had moved to this location, caught up on the latest happenings and decided to register. Huge pain but here I am.
Allow me to re-introduce myself. My fair is Grae3.1415 and the code is G7BJyJM (visitors warmly welcomed). I've been playing for a loooong time, was a regular contributor to the original forum and a rare visitor on the previous one.
I have never been interested in levelling up so I'm one of the few on a sub-100 level. Please don't confuse a low-level with lack of interest.I love visiting different fairs, down to a dozen regulars now and will be immensely sad if the servers get switched off.
Claim to fame: My fair was a Featured Fair for a short period, before paths were introduced.
I come from the east coast of Australia (Hi Biddy).
I don't like my chances of getting into the 12 Days but found the reading on how to get the purple boxes interesting. I'll see what can be done.

Thank you for your welcome. It's been lovely to visit some new fairs, collect ideas and wishfully hope for a return of those sales for those items I couldn't afford to get when they were available. Alas.

    • THE TWELVE DAYS OF XMAS GAME FOR 2016

1 - "Twelve Days of Christmas" can be played with either purple or gold mystery boxes in the Fair (NOT IN THE GARDEN).
2 - There is no winner or prize given for "Twelve Days". It is a game against yourself, of willpower and/or butterfingers.
3 - A player who opens a mystery box when they shouldn't due to lack of willpower or butterfingers must pay a penalty.
The 2016 penalty: In the BFF (ButterFingers Fraternity) Pen, across the street from Charlie Brown’s house in Ginger’s Fair there will be poppers in the color designated for each player. If you have a butterfinger episode or lose willpower and open a box out of sequence, your popper will turn gray and the wavy men will turn the guilty party’s color for the day.
4 - Mystery Box set-ups should be laid out in the player's Fair by the morning of December 1.
5 - Boxes can be added from then until end-of-game, but not removed until December 13 (1 per day per player with 12 boxes).
6 - A player can join the game with less than 12 boxes, but they cannot open until the appropriate day. For instance, a player with 5 boxes must wait til 12/20 to open their first box. Last box is opened on Christmas Eve Day.
7 - Players with more than 12 boxes, can open as many as they like starting 12/13, but must make sure they have the right amount left for the next day of play.
8 - After opening a box, player must come into the Forum and announce what they got out of the mystery box(s) that day.
9 - Officer Opinabox visits each player's Fair each day starting 12/1, and leaves a small amount of xp's to show he has been there.
10 - Officer Opinabox reports his findings to Ginger at the office who makes a daily report on the Forum of the Findings.

Note: To any new poster, to play the game you have to be playing Snoopy Street Fair, you have to have at least one mystery box, and you must be friends in SSF with Ginger since Officer Opinabox works out of her SSF game.

      • Officer Opinabox: Hey, Purple Pinch Grinch! I've been searching all over for you. I wanted to check on your availability for helping out Security this year for Twelve Days of Xmas at SSF.

Purple Pinch Grinch: Oh, I'm soooooo sorry, Officer. I've already committed to a program that's going to be going on here at the hospital. I'll be an inpatient for 2 full weeks, and by the time I get out, you probably will have already found somebody else and be way into the game already. I couldn't find you guys at the old Forum, so I thought the game was not taking place this year.

Officer Opinabox: Don't worry 'bout it, Purple. What you will be doing is a lot more important, and I'm sure Snoopy Dog has already been busy lining up a team. Hopefully we will not need much Security this year, anyway. Be safe, my friend! By the way ... what's the program you will be doing?

Purple Pinch Grinch: It's a program about how eating your greens daily is good for you, and especially if you are already green to start with. I'm anxious to see how many other green participants they are going to have.

So glad that Officer Opinabox caught up with PPG! Hope the 2 week program goes really well for him. Wonder if he'll run into Kermit or the Jolly Green Giant? You know what they say.....it's not easy being green! ????

      • Oh, hey, I have some interesting Snoopy news for everyone! So.... the Hallmark Peanuts ornaments are selling at both CVS Drug Stores and Barnes and Noble bookstores (at least they in southwest Florida) and guess what? They are exactly the same, except the price on the boxes (that the ornaments are in) sell for $7.99 at CVS, whereas the price on the boxes selling at Barnes and Noble is $9.99! These are the EXACT same ornaments, folks! Can you believe it?

I've seen them for sale at Lowes, too.

      • Officer Opinabox: Hey Ginger .... As I was making my last rounds before dark, I noticed some activity in Biddy's Fair. Ran back to my truck to get my camera, and got this picture of her set-up. Looks really lovely and adds a lot to the numbers. Wheeeeeew, this is really going to be a haul this year!!!

Ginger: Thanks Opie .... did you happen to remember to get the coordinates for those 36 boxes?

Officer Opinabox: Yup! Sure did! She's set up at D-2. By the way, I was passing by the hoppers on the way out of the office at feeding time, and did you know they snort? I've never noticed it before, but I guess 1 hopper snorting compared to 17 hoppers snorting is enough to catch your attention.

        • Officer Opinabox: Hey, Max Level. You look busy, but can I just ask you if you think you can help with Security this year?

Max Level: Oh, Man!!! I just got a gig with Mr. Santa here, helping to take pictures and hand out presents to the kiddies from now til Christmas. This is a
good opportunity for me, because I have been assured the job is mine each year for as long as I want it.

Officer Opinabox: Oh, that's wonderful, Max! I'm so happy for you.

Max Level: But, I did see Snoopy Dog yesterday and told him I could work part-time if an emergency comes up, cause I only work with Santa from 10 am til 6 pm.

Officer Opinabox: Well, we certainly don't want to have you wearing out .... but we appreciate the offer.

I know! We're re-visiting all the major characters....kind of like a trailer for a movie. Hey, why are they called trailers when they show them BEFORE the feature film? Anyway it's great to find out what everyone has been doing this past year!

        • Ginger, are you using Photobucket to post pictures? I tried to post a Thanksgiving Picture thru Photobucket and it would let me!

Yes, I'm using Photobucket for the last stage. I have photobucket go to my computer to get the picture I want. Then I click on the picture, and when the 4 options come up on the right hand side, I click the bottom one which is the one that picks up the picture and then I come to the Forum and drop it.

The problem I'm having has nothing to do with Photobucket, but I worked a way around it. Every since I uploaded to iOS 9, I can't send emails, so I can't send pics to my computer from my iPad. Since I only know how to Photobucket off my computer, I have to have my pics on my computer...plus that's where I have the software for resizing and doing things with the picture. soooooooooo.......I take a picture on my iPad and send it by message to my iPhone. Then from my iPhone I send it to my computer attached to an email. It's an extra step that I never had before, but it is working.

If you tried to do a picture from a Photobucket app, I have no idea how to help you cause I don't do it that way.

        • i was testing posting a pic but I couldn't delete it from my post so have had to write something instead!

          so . . . Hi all!

Been there ....... done that. The way I've gotten it to work is to click edit and then click cancel, and my post usually disappears. This happens when I sometimes bring over the link for a picture, and instead of the picture coming up, the link comes up. So I edit and cancel and try again. Usually works the second time if it didn't the first for me.

            Hi Ginger~

I assume you're referring to my missing PMB. I did post about that the other day (#164.1). Lost to a screen glitch. My daughter says its because I have too much stuff going on in my fair. (lol!)

        • Finally got enough coins for my one and only chance of getting a purple box by the deadline. As Charlie Brown so aptly puts it... "Rats". Another waving man. Maybe next year, in the meantime I'm working on getting at least one under my Christmas tree (decorations being added bit by bit)

Graeme .... Just follow along with the story and the game and enjoy. If you should get a PMB between now and the 13th when those with a full grouping get to open their first box, let me know and you can be a late-comer with just one box that can't be opened til the 24th. That is still a lot
of days to be testing your willpower. So, don't give up, yet!

        • I finally made it. Although I have only 11 boxes (one is next to Snoopy's hut), my christmas set-up is now ready.
Maybe I will givd Lucky Dip another chance in a few days, but for now- to get in right mood- I put all the bunnies and butterflies away.
I took the chance and put most of the other stuff away, too. It seems to be only a matter of time that the game will not be compatible with modern soft- and hardware anymore. I decided to rather end it myself! I only kept the coin givers out. I think I will put those away as well, on Dec 11th:-)

Thanks for letting me know there are 11 instead of 8 boxes, and that the one near CB's house is in play. I'll change your records.

Inga, if you have the bunnies and the butterflies in storage, then your chances of getting another purple box before the 13th will be greatly
diminished. If you have 30 bunnies and 30 butterflies, and they are out in your fair, you will not get them from the ULD. But, if you have
them in storage, the counter doesn't recognize them and will add them to things that come out of the ULD. Bull, Man, bubbles, $2SD and
PMB gives you a 20% chance of a PMB. Add bunny and butterfly to that and your chance is 14%. It's up to you ...... just wanted to make
            sure you knew that.
        Working...
