Hi Smurfy people. I'm a newby and am not one to post things on forums generally, but have noticed what a delightful and lovely forum this seems to be, so I have been having a bit of a sticky beak through the threads and came across this fellow, animal loving tribute to pets Gorgeous pics of all your fluffy buddies, although I was bit surprised there were not more dog pics. There seem to be a lot more kitty and bird lovers posting so far...and who doesn't love bunnies,,so I thought what the heck, I'll add another pup to balance out the cute kitties a bit more Here is a pic of my little fuzz ball, Granville, being a dufus Have a Smurfy evening all xo

Hi Lumen , Welcome to the Forum

Chat noir is right that we are unable to see your pet pictures that you tried posting.

I have sent you a pm with step by step instructions on how to use imgur to post images here, and this is a thread that teaches you how to do it as well https://forums.bongfish.com/forum/ma...ommunity-forum

Welcome! Would love to see him, but the picture didn’t post! Do you need help learning how to post a pic on the forum? If you are IOS it is easy to do through Imgur (though not intuitive.) Here is the topic with the step by step instructions: https://forums.bongfish.com/forum/ma...ommunity-forum

A number of us on the forum love dogs, so we look forward to you posting about Granville!

And you are right... I’ve been playing and a forum member almost since the beginning, and it certainly is unique in my experience!

Hi, Fabiola and welcome to the forum! I think you might have published these pictures in the wrong topic. This is a topic where we put the pictures of our real life pets. If you’d like to introduce yourself to the forum and show us your village pictures, I suggest you post them here: https://forums.bongfish.com/forum/ma...fy-new-friends

      By the way, nice village!

So way back on the first page of this thread, I shared pictures of my furbaby Hermès and talked about how much I wanted a Snow Bengal. Well, more than 3 years later I finally got my way ????. Meet Arthur. He’s high energy, has a huge appetite and major attitude. Total Alpha male to Hermès’ zen calm, they couldn’t be more different, but We love them and our house would be empty without them ????????????

ejic12 Hermès et Arthur, such stunning cats! Bengals are magnificent creatures. And terrifying! My cat, who is totally placid, hides when the two who live around here come visiting!
Sorry, this should have been a comment.

To all those who were kind enough to send me such lovely words of comfort back in January when I lost my cat to illness, this is Alfie. He’s 3 months old, an absolute terror, never stops and treats my hands and feet as his own personal chew toys, but he’s absolutely gorgeous and he has filled a big hole in our hearts ????.

cosmickitten. Saw these lovely pics and then got distracted (probably by my own moggy!) and didn’t get around to saying how absolutely stunning young Alfie is! Lucky you! And, as Cupcake says, lucky him, too!

I just found this thread. I love seeing everyone's kitties.

Our most recent addition to our family is Ilia (named after Ilia on Star Trek The Motion Picture). We got her in February after we lost our little black kitty to FIP. He was only 9 months old. My heart still misses him. One of my chemo nurses recommended the rescue where we found Ilia--she's at least part Russian Blue--she has all the characteristics, including polydactyl front paws. She's a handful--and I like it that way. She chatters and has full conversations, especially if I hiss when she's doing something she shouldn't be, she'll meow, as if to say, "But, Mom..."

This first one is from a few days ago. She commandeered the pillow I keep for behind my back while we're at the kitchen table.

This second one was one night while we were watching television. She has such a happy sleeping face.

The third one is from about 15 minutes after we first brought her home:

Unicorn Smurf yeah, Bendu was an amazing little kitty. I'm going to dig up a picture of him with my hubby. Ilia cracks me up on the regular. We put up kitty shelves and made basically a track around the living room wall for her to climb and play on. (I watched enough Jackson Galaxy to know that she needed these) She's very high energy, but she has the most amazing disposition. She's patient and never hisses at anyone. She's very playful, which is great--she's helping me regain my strength.

What a beautiful kitty, and -yay, a rescue! It sounds like she has tons and tons of personality, but it looks like she is very ‘chill’, also! Sorry that you have been having health issues, but happy to read below that you are in remission!

Schtroumpfette What a total beauty... ????. I lost my cat to illness back in January and you never quite get over it but taking another cat into your life fills a hole in your heart. And Ilia (brilliant name) is absolutely gorgeous. I love Russian Blues, they are such elegant looking cats. Enjoy, I hope she is with you for many years and that your health is improving.

(Sorry, this was supposed to be in the comments!) ????

Thank you, cosmickitten. She's in great health, so that's promising. Our vet instructed us to not get a kitten while I was undergoing chemo because of the risk of several kitty-to-human diseases that could transmit while my immune system was incredibly compromised.

Bendu (named after Bendu on Star Wars Rebels) , our little black kitty who died was everyone's best friend. I need to find a picture of him. He was so sweet.

And, yes, I'm doing well. My cancer is in "complete remission," per my oncologist. I became ill last September, and I was diagnosed in December just before Christmas. I had six rounds of chemo over 18 weeks. I have to make it five years without relapse to be considered "cured."

I'm sorry about the loss of your kitty. Our fur babies are such huge parts of our families.

Schtroumpfette So happy that your cancer is in remission!! I firmly believe that having a kitty companion helps us when we most need it. Over the years, I have had several that seemed to know when I needed comforting. I am sure Ilia does the same for you! ????

Since I was talking about Bendu, here are a couple pictures of this wonderful creature, RIP. He was such an amazing little guy. Everyone he met was his new best friend. That's my husband with him.

        cosmickitten, he was beautiful.
We lost our 19-year-old female cat just a couple months before we rescued Bendu. She was a calico who was a little bit afraid of everyone. She hissed a lot, even at our friends. Bendu had an upper respiratory infection when we first got him, and it cleared up with antibiotic.

My daughter and son-in-law's cat has had pancreatitis several times. It's a scary illness, because they become so desperately ill so fast. I'm sorry he is gone. He had beautiful eyes.

Thanks everyone! Bear and Missy have a standoff relationship haha. I had Missy first ( I got her from a friend who couldn't find her a home) . Bear was a friends puppy he worked long hours and didn't have much of a yard for her so she would come to my house. I told him if he ever had to get rid of her I would take her. So one day I got a call and she is still with us!!!!! I saw him about 5 years ago and she still remembered him he couldn't believe it. Missy was annoyed that there was a dog in her house ( I did have another cat at the time). As for Twitch I actually got him from the same lady I got Missy from. He was the runt ( the smallest out of 10) ! We got him at 3 weeks old because he wasn't getting fed. I got Alley for my birthday ! He never learnt to be scared of dogs . When he was little he use to suck on Twitch's nipples!

Daughter’s mad hamster (tried to post a gif, but came out as a still, so pic quality fuzzy - see next page for another, clearer, pic) here wrestling a crocodile-shaped dog-chew...good for hammy teeth and aggression-relieving! Wish I could get rid of all my tensions so easily!
