I love how the Queen sits with her paws crossed elegantly. Hermès does that too, sometimes. She looks great for 19! My first cat lived to 23.

Ok, here is Hermes on one of his favorite springtime perches, in the sun on the balcony waiting to pounce on an insect or eat flowers while we're not looking. He's at his funniest when he's playing with his many toys, but I don't think you can upload video.

Beautiful Bengal! My Mom ( known on this forum as Phoenix) rescued 2 seal-point blue eyed bengals named Luke and Leia. I'll tell her to post a picture = )

This picture is so great ????. Hermes is so beautiful and thus photo really looks like it was from a professiomal photoshoot! Love it!

Here is one of him playing. You can see his spots a little better.mIt's just as well that there is no video. He gets all freaky with the catnip thing and starts humping it. It's hysterical, but not really G-rated, and we are playing Smurf's Village after all. This is us playing Smurf Village

No, only one cat unfortunately. No kids, because Hermès is my baby I really want a snowy Bengal (they look like snow leopards), but my husband won't let me I guess I have to marry Happybird's husband if I want another.

Hi Happybird, do you think we can migrate your photo collage of Virgil, the silkies, and farm crew from the random chit-chat thread to this thread? Or maybe it can be re-posted here? It would be nice if that photo can join the rest of the pets here. I swear, if I didn't know that chickens had feathers, I would say yours look like they are wearing some kind of luxurious fur. So beautiful!!

Happybird, I'm very jealous your having cute chickens!!! I can't believe how much they are fluffy..if I kept them, I would hug them everyday and they would get annoyed by my too much interactions haha
Please keep posting your farm news. Your dogs and cats are also gorgeous!!

This is Nellie yesterday. She is so photogenic!

And Virgil, showing me his talons. After two violence-free days he relapsed today, attacking me and one of our dogs. Sigh.

Gosh, your chickens are so awesome! I love them all, especially the fluffy ones, but I think Virgil is my favorite because you make him sound so naughty and a bit of a trouble maker! What a personality!

And these are my kitties, minus Annabelle, our new cat. Sammy and Bob, on the top row, both passed away from cancer this past year. On the bottom row are Frannie (the oldest and head kitty in charge of everyone, including the dogs), Wheezie Kitten, and Pooper.

Thank you, Ruxandra. I do feel very blessed to have such wonderful companions. My husband and I do not have human children, so our pets are everything to us.

        And last is the dogs:

Merly and Diesel are the top row, and their mom, Ava is the first pic in the bottom row. They are my roommate's dogs, which I take care of and love dearly. My baby, Maggie is the yellow lab. She died when she was 16, about three years ago. I had her from 6 weeks old and I loved her like she was my child. The last pic is Waylon, my husband's dog, who I adored. He passed away about two years ago. It hurt so bad to lose them, and we are still not ready for a dog of our own yet. That is why we thought it would be fun to share housing with someone who already had dogs, not realizing my roommate was in way over his head with his dogs, and we would become the primary caregivers. We will take Merly with us when we move (we can't just leave her, she is very attached to us) and our good friends love Diesel and want to give him a forever home.

You sure have a lot of pets! It's nice that they get along with each other. We used to have 10 cats and it was very chaotic especially during meal times.

Dogs are just the best!!! These are all adorable, but a yellow lab is my idea of a dream dog! All these dogs look just perfect and so cute! You are so lucky to have had so many dogs in your life! The last two are my favorites! You won the lottery when you adopted these awesome family members, but don't wait too long to get more dogs of your own, because you seem like awesome pet owners and there are so many awesome dogs out there that need loving homes, and Merly will need a buddy!

Oh, my Maggie was such a brilliant dog. She did many tricks, including the classic point at her with a finger-gun and say Bang! and she would roll on her back and play dead. She and I (and Frannie cat and Wheezie) lived over the bar where I worked and on Sundays, Maggie would come down to work with me. The customers loved her. She would do tricks for people for french fries or ice cubes and stand and put her front paws on the bar when you told her to Belly Up. The bar was across the street from the courthouse and quite a few people took out their legal frustrations by escorting her across the street to 'do her civic duty' on the courthouse lawn (which I cleaned up the next day). Maggie went to college with me and was a huge part of my twenties and early thirties. She was such a special girl and I miss her everyday. I may be biased, but I think she was exceptionally beautiful, too. She was very tall for a lab, with long legs and she weighed between 80 and 90 lbs.
